Realistic dating expectations
That means you need to go have a "me" day where you just do things for yourself.
Source: Shutter Stock I see a lot of comments on here with girls saying things like, "If a guy is your boyfriend, he should never be looking at any other girls." Saying and thinking something like this is completely unrealistic. Also, once you've been dating for a long time, like years, you won't be having sex as much as you did when you first started dating. Unless you guys literally stopped hooking up altogether, it's normal.
When do you know your relationship expectations aren’t realistic?
So what are you to do if you don't know what your expectations for a relationship are - or worse - some of your expectations fall into the no-no category?
But I think the most important thing I learned was something I caught onto myself: you can’t expect any kind of relationship to live up to the perfect expectations you will inevitably have.
Sometimes we get them from magazines and sometimes we get them from our friends. And if we expect everything to go exactly as we want it to go, or as we’ve seen it go in movies, things are going to go wrong. Not only that, but every good relationship takes work, dedication and a lot of effort. Chances are, once you've been in a relationship for a while, you're going to get a little sick of each other once in a while. The more two people attempt to be real with each other, the more realistic their expectations will be as they enter marriage.
